Read more...The big freeze continues and so we decided to make the most of the fine weather and have a snowy walk on some of the local moors.  In the morning we went to the moors near the Ripponden TV transmitter and in the afternoon we walked around Blackstone Edge Reservoir.

Today was a day for enjoying the snow and as the photographs show winter is really here!

Read more... This was almost a repeat of the walk that Steve and I did on New Year's Eve 2008. Today we were joined by Simon, Dave and Josie for a very snowy walk on Grassington Moor.
Thanks to Steve, Dave, Josie and Simon for their company on this walk.  Special thanks also go to Simon for braving the blizzards in Burnley whilst driving Steve and me to Hebden.  The walk took just over 5 hours, which gave us plenty of time for photographs and larking around in the snow.
